Have you ever wondered how your everyday student life could be better?

We invited students at every level of education across the Ritsumeikan Academy to submit the “flashes of inspiration” they came up with in response to this question, along with ways to solve it.
We received a total of 217 submissions, and following a rigorous selection process, the prize-winning entries have now been decided. We are pleased to introduce them below.

Moving from Ideas to Reality

Thank you very much to all the students across the Ritsumeikan Academy who submitted their wonderful ideas to the Seeds of Inspiration Project. We received a total of 217 submissions.
Many of the proposals reflected a genuine desire to make school and campus life more enjoyable and fulfilling. Throughout the judging process, each idea surprised us, resonated with us, or compelled us in different ways, making it extremely difficult to select the winning entries. Following the preliminary screening and final judging, we selected Gold Prize, Silver Prize, and Consolation Prize winners across the five categories. Congratulations to all of the prize winners. We hope that these “flashes of inspiration” will contribute to your own personal growth and serve as a springboard to tackling new challenges.
Creotech will also use the ideas we received from you as inspiration to take on new challenges of our own. With all of our employees working together as one team, we will continue striving to further enhance Ritsumeikan’s university and school campuses. Thank you once again for your submissions.

Reflections on the Judging Process:
Using the 125th Anniversary Project as an Opportunity to Enhance Our Schools and Campuses

The Seeds of Inspiration Project was launched with the belief that “even the smallest inspiration can change the future for everyone.” With this in mind, we invited students at every level of education across the Ritsumeikan Academy to share their ideas with us. We received 217 submissions, ranging from primary school students all the way to graduate students. The ideas were diverse, including entries submitted in both Japanese and English, as well as team submissions. Using criteria such as clarity, originality, contribution to student life, potential for future development, feasibility, and ideas that transcend individual school levels, we selected five Gold Prize winners, six Silver Prize winners, seven Consolation Prize winners, and one Special Prize winner.
This project was undertaken as part of the Ritsumeikan Academy's 125th Anniversary commemorative initiatives. We believe many of the winning ideas will resonate with you, too, prompting reactions such as, "That makes sense," or "I was thinking the same thing." On the occasion of the anniversary, we hope to build on Ritsumeikan's intellectual strengths and work together with everyone who submitted ideas to nurture these “Seeds of Inspiration” so that they can grow and blossom as we look toward 2030.
